Summer Festival history

The year 2000 saw the first Summer Festival of Art and Music held in the Church. It proved to be a huge success and has become an annual event with activities being held each weekend.

The Festival's length and timing has varied over the years to suit current needs but three weeks seems to be the favoured length.

Many local artists display their artwork usually during the first

two weeks and, in the past, students from the local secondary

schools have been invited to display their 'A' level course work

2009 year sees a change for the 3rd week with Harrogate

Photographic Society and Harrogate Embroiderer's Guild

 invited to display work.

A concert is held plus the ever popular Strawberry Tea and the Festival concludes with a Songs of Praise service on the final Sunday.  2010 & 2011 have included an Open Garden.
